RICHARD RECCO

    Richard Recco has been a professional semi-figurative abstract painter since the age of 18. Raised in Brooklyn, NY, Richard started his art career creating street art and custom murals before transitioning to canvas originals that were showcased at New York’s Lumina Gallery and the Gallery of the Unknown Artist in Miami when he was 21. A graduate of the New York Film Academy, Richard wrote the spec script for "3,000 Miles to Graceland" in 2001, a motion picture starring Kevin Costner and Kurt Russell. In 2007, Richard wrote, directed, and produced the film "Officer Down," which won Spike Lee’s Babelgum Short Film Award at Cannes in 2008. In 2011, he adapted Joe Kubert’s DC graphic novel "Yossel," which was nominated for an Eisner Award. In his latest endeavor, Richard returns to his roots with a collection of street art limited edition prints entitled the T-Rex Homicide Series.
